Kawasaki launches Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-14R in India


Fearsome is how many motorcycle riders describe the ZX-10R and this motorcycle is now available in India through the legitimate white market CBU route. Along with the ZX-10R, Kawasaki has also launched the ZX-14R, a motorcycle that’s a sports tourer. Both these motorcycles will be sold through a new chain of independent dealerships that Kawasaki will establish across the country. The first such motorcycle dealership is already ready at Wakdewadi, Pune. Bookings of the motorcycles will open from tomorrow while deliveries could start from the end of September. The Ninja ZX10R is priced at Rs. 15.70 lakhs and the Ninja ZX-14R is priced at Rs. 16.90 lakhs, ex-showroom Pune.


Both new bikes will be sold and serviced here by India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) for the time being. At a later date, probiking will take over these operations. A super fast bike, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R stands on a monocoque frame. Globally, the bike is available with ABS/non ABS with S-KTRC (Sport Kawasaki Traction Control). The liquid-cooled 4-stroke in-line-four 1441 cc engine has a 6-speed transmission.
Yuji Horiuchi, Managing Director, Kawasaki India took centre stage to introduce the ZX14R in India. Talking the media through the finer details of the beast. KIBS Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS) features rear-wheel lift suppression.
