KTM to launch an RC8 Inspired Small Displacement Bike in early 2014
Ktm & Bajaj are doing very well in the Indian Bike market . With its latest launch "The Duke 390", KTM has tempted the Indian Bikers with its affordable price & exceptional performance which were earlier limited to some very regular underpowered or unaffordably expensive powerful bikes in the country.
When the Duke 200 was launched , its took the Indian Bike market by storm & received an amazing response. Even the top of the line KTM RC8 is also a phenomenal machine but that Bike is out of reach from most of the buyers. So they have the Duke 200 & Duke 390 but there is a problem.
The only one thing that has been left unattended – fairing!
Yes, and this will soon be a reality. Bajaj, in an official press release has confirmed a while back the launch of an “RC8 inspired and Moto 3 racing bike inspired, small displacement supersports bike” in India.
It will be launched by early 2014. Now considering the fact that KTM Bajaj kept the promise of mid-2013 launch of Duke 390, we can expect this RC8 inspired mini sports bike to bow in towards the initial first three months of 2014.
As the rumors of the upcoming Pulsar 350/375 are heating up the matter,it would be quite an interesting thing to see as to what engine capacity does KTM offer for its faired sportsbike in India & its pricing would be a crucial factor to attract the buyers because India is a very price sensitive market.
There is at this point of time NO official statements made as to what the Bike would be called but it might be called "The RC25" or any other name.
